Karen Westcott
Principal Physiotherapist / B.App.Sc Phty, B.Bus
Karen graduated from the University of Sydney and began her Physiotherapy career in some of Sydney’s busiest hospitals. There she gained hands-on experience across a wide range of acute settings — from orthopaedics and emergency care to aged care rehabilitation and postnatal wards.
Drawn to the complexity of musculoskeletal health, Karen transitioned into private practice, where she has built extensive expertise in the assessment and treatment of spinal and skeletal injuries. Since joining Lilyfield Physio in 2013, she has advanced to become Senior Physiotherapist and Practice Principal. She is highly regarded for her warm, empathetic approach and her deep understanding of how people experience and manage pain, particularly neck pain and headaches. Her approachable style and commitment to high-quality care have earned her excellent relationships with referring doctors and specialists, as well as a strong reputation that brings many new patients through personal recommendations.
Committed to lifelong learning, Karen continually enhances her practice through postgraduate training and professional development. Her treatment philosophy combines evidence-based techniques with a strong focus on client-centred care. She is also a Level 2 DMA Clinical Pilates practitioner, with advanced skills in movement analysis and biomechanical assessment.
Outside the clinic, Karen leads an active lifestyle with her two sons, enjoying running, Pilates, and gym training — always practising what she teaches.

" The best part of my work is connecting with people to understand their needs, and how I can help keep them moving, doing the things they love to do (as well as the things they need to do), without pain."
