Circuit training focuses on improving fitness using endurance and resistance-based exercises. You complete anywhere from 5-8 different exercises at various ‘stations’ to complete a circuit.

There are two ways a circuit is recorded;

  1. A Set Time Circuit:  You work for 30 seconds -1 minute and rest for 15-30 seconds in between.
  2. A Rep Circuit: You have a specified number of repetitions to complete for each given exercise before you move to the next.

What are the Benefits of Circuit Training?

Circuits are popular and effective because they allow you to improve muscle mass whilst also improving aerobic conditioning. Because circuit training is a group class, it is a great motivator for those of us who struggle to exercise independently.
