Strength & Conditioning

What are the benefits of strength and conditioning?

Whether you are just trying to stay fit, a recreational sportsperson or an elite athlete, you will benefit from strength and conditioning training. Strength and conditioning training will help you with your physical performance including speed, agility, power and flexibility,  specific to your sport or activity. This training will also help decrease niggling training injuries by improving muscular strength with good technique.

How can we help at Lilyfield Physio?

Firstly, we develop a personalised training schedule specific to your goals or competition calendar, once we have reviewed your physical activity guidelines.

Secondly, we will assess the movement techniques which you need for your sport specific training or activity.

We then move into exercise prescription to develop the required muscle strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. Strength training is developed under guidance of one of our strength physiotherapy programs to reduce the risk if injury.

Lastly, we work on developing sports or activity specific movements addressing balance, coordination, agility, power and speed.

The sessions are developed by experienced strength and conditioning physiotherapy clinicians and our Exercise physiologist as we focus on safety, detail, and individual needs. Options are flexible and can be conducted 1:1 or in small group settings of 4 to 5 people.
